Last Chance to Enter Fundraiser

Remember the Blogging Fundraiser to Benefit Animals that I mentioned last week?

Well, their initial goal was to get at least 35 bloggers on board, but sadly, as of this moment, only 23 bloggers are participating in the event. That's too bad, because did I mention that it's only $10.00 to hop on board? Plus, did I mention that 60% of the entry money, as well as any money donated by non-entrants, goes directly to a 501c3 animal related charity that actively rescues animals, chosen by the winning blogger?

What an easy way to help animals!

Oh, and even if you don't care about helping animals (shame on you) - did I mention that the winning blogger gets some cash too?

Currently, the chip in widget is showing that $255.00 has been collected, $230.00 of which came from the 23 entered bloggers. That means some generous person or persons donated an extra $25.00 just to go to the charity. (Thank you generous person(s)!) So, by my calculations, that means $92.00 is going to the winning blogger, and $163.00 is going to the charity they choose. (If my math is wrong, please don't sue me).

But hey, if none of you want to risk a measly ten bucks to enter, that only increases my odds of winning.

So what will I do with the prize money if I win? Obviously I wanted to give it to a dog related rescue, and since both the Vizsla Club of Long Island and the Vizsla Club of Central New England have done so much for our Little Miss Meadow - as well as for countless other homeless Vs - I decided it only fitting that I choose one of them. It would have been a really tough choice as to which of them to pick, but fate made it easy on me, since only one of the two rescues is currently a 501c3.

Which means (drum-roll please) I'm happy to announce that if Donna and the Dogs wins the drawing, I've chosen the Vizsla Club of Central New England to receive my charity winnings! (insert applause here). Thank you VCCNE, for bringing Meadow into our lives, for always being so supportive, and for helping so many other Vizslas find their furever homes!

And what will I do with my portion of the money if I win? Let's see, the choices are limitless. I could buy dog food. Or I could purchase a block of dog training classes. Or I could buy that dog behavioral book I've had my eye on. Or maybe I could...

Wait, what was that noise? Did one of the dogs just sneeze?
