About that Fundraiser...

December 14, 2011 08:20 by Donna

Good morning everyone! Remember the fundraiser?

Well, I received an email this morning that I had to put a post up about it by 9:00 AM, which I'm doing now, but other than that, I am completely unprepared! Maybe it is because I haven't yet finished my coffee and I am NOT a morning person, or maybe it is because I have to get ready to run out the door, but after reading this morning's email, I am no longer sure about how the contest works.

I originally thought only us bloggers were entered, but it looks like all of my readers can enter through facebook and twitter using the thingamagiggy below. (Maybe??)

I will email the hosts of the contest to find out more information and update this post later this afternoon, so please check back. In the meantime, below is the info I needed to get posted by 9:00 AM in order to stay in the running, and as I said, please check back later today for more details about how maybe you can enter too.

This morning's email also mentioned that I needed to state in this post who I am donating my charity portion of the winnings to if my blog gets picked - so for those of you who don't already know, if I win, I pledge to donate my charity funds to the Vizsla Club of Central New England, the wonderful folks who brought Little Miss Meadow into our lives. So please keep your fingers crossed for the VCCNE.

AFTERNOON UPDATE: The hosts got back to me today and were very helpful in clearing my confusion. As it turns out - you ALL can enter the contest, and it's free. How exciting is that? Today's entries are geared for facebook users, so just use the Rafflecopter below (the thingamagiggy with the blue button that says "log on w/facebook") and "Like" the participating bloggers who are on facebook, leave a comment on my blog, (or on one of the others), to let us know which charity you want to donate to if you win, and tweet about the contest if you are on twitter. Next, check the "done" button for each of those items that you did, and each action will be counted as an entry. A winner will be chosen at random at the end of the contest, and the winner will need a paypal account to collect their winnings. But if you don't have an account, don't worry, I've been informed that you can open one in the event that you win. One final word of advice - the Rafflecopter does not work well with Firefox, so if you are having problems with it, that may be why. If you have access to Safari or Chrome you will have an easier time entering. Good luck!

LOL. I was confused as well. I only figured it out after I read a few other posts. This morning at six am I was all "Oh! Everyone can win! Cool!" Glad to hear I wasn't the only one just a wee bit mixed up.

Good luck!

New sites to check out and love!
I wish I could split my winnings between two causes, but I would have to choose NCNC Newf Rescue

LOL! Thanks Kristine. I thought it was just due to lack of caffeine...
