A Poem by Toby

Toby asked me to share this poem that he wrote in response to all of the horrible accusations I make about him.

I’m Not Misbehaving
         By Toby the Lab

I’m not misbehaving
Mommy can’t you see?
Please try to understand
I’m just being me

I’m not misbehaving
When I ignore your commands
Please try to understand
There’s no sense to your demands

I’m not misbehaving
Who can pass up a treat?
Please try to understand
A dogs just gotta eat

I’m not misbehaving
When I’m pulling on my leash
Please try to understand
There is something I must reach

I’m not misbehaving
What’s that over there?
Please try to understand
So much for me to snare

I’m not misbehaving
When I ‘m covered in black crud
Please try to understand
I’m addicted to that mud

I’m not misbehaving
Shouldn’t life be fun?
Please try to understand
I just love to run

I’m not misbehaving
I had to steal that steak
Please try to understand
You left it; your mistake

Love it!  Dogs will be dogs!  If we wanted them to be people we'd have kids! Ha!
