Last year, I shared with you my rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas, and I had so much fun writing it, that I thought I'd create a new Christmas Carol for you each year. I'm pleased to present you with my newest holiday song, a Donna and the Dogs version of Jingle Bells. I hope you enjoy it!
Dashing through the snow
Trying to round up Toby
Across the yard he goes
Grinning all the way
Collar tags do ring
He disappears from sight
Why’s it so hard to get
Him to come inside at night?
Oh, Leah sheds, she really sheds
Then she sheds some more
Oh, what fun it is to find
Some dog hair in my soup
Cat box stinks, dog crate reeks
Meadow rolls in worms
Oh, what fun it is to have
A house full of pungent pets
A day or two ago
I thought I’d give ‘em baths
And soon Miss Med the V
Was taking in the scene
The tub looked wet and cold
No way she was getting in
She ducked just out of reach
And then she sped away
Oh, Miss Mew yowls, Toby whines
Cinder cries all night
Oh, what fun it is to be
Surrounded by noisy pets
Leah barks, Toby woofs
Meadow joins the fray
Oh, what fun it is to be
Safe from strangers breaking in, yay!
Oh, litter’s scooped, floors are swept
The water bowls are clean
Oh, what fun it is to spend
Every evening doing chores
Dogs are fed, cats are fed
The crew is fast asleep
Oh, what fun it is to have
Time to write you this silly song
